COMMERCIAL BENEFITS Training
Fujitsu Training Academies offer exceptional training on the design, installation, start-up, commissioning and troubleshooting of AIRSTAGE VRF, Heat Pump and Heat Recovery systems. Attendees learn a variety of practical installation “Must Know” tasks, along with the function and operation of AIRSTAGE equipment, with hands-on labs to identify components for system servicing. Hands-on labs compliment formal classroom instruction, designed to provide valuable information used on every AIRSTAGE installation and start up!

Commercial J and V-Series Systems
Training for Fujitsu VRF systems has been streamlined and modularized. Fujitsu has developed installer focused training that develops an installer’s ability to understand the installation process so they can install, connect, and start VRF systems with fewer hours of training. (And attention to the installation instructions of course). The current trainings can be taught individually, or as a full 3-Day Technician’s course for those who need to learn both installation and service all at once.
Training qualification requirements are based upon the equipment to be sold and installed.
J-Series Training – (J-IVS, J-IV, and J-IIIL) No cost, regional training
AIRSTAGE J-Series Training
This 2.5-hour training will equip the installer with the knowledge to rough in, install, pipe, and wire a Fujitsu J-Series system. It includes selecting proper equipment location and will teach how to read and utilize the “Design Simulator Report” for proper pipe size and routing. Key examples provide knowledge for use of separation tubes or pipe headers. Communication wiring, address setting and how to address indoor units is also included. The class will cover basic function codes after installation to qualify the systems set-up for startup.
V-Series Training – (VU-V and service for VII, VRII equipment)
VU-V Heat Pump
This 3-hour training will equip the installer with the knowledge to rough-in, install, pipe, and wire a Fujitsu V-Series heat pump system. It includes selecting proper equipment location and will teach how to read and utilize the “Design Simulator Report” for proper pipe size and routing. Key examples provide knowledge for use of separation tubes or pipe headers. Communication wiring, address setting, how to address indoor units and how to combine multiple OD units in one refrigerant circuit are included. The class will cover how to check the system setup to be ready for a system commissioning.
VU-V Heat Recovery
This 3.5-hour training will equip the installer with the knowledge to rough-in, install, pipe, and wire a Fujitsu V-Series heat recovery system. It includes selecting proper equipment location and will teach how to read and utilize the “Design Simulator Report” for proper pipe size and routing. Key examples provide knowledge for use of separation tubes or pipe headers. Communication wiring, address setting, how to address indoor units, RBUs and how to combine multiple OD units in one refrigerant circuit are included. The class will cover how to check the system setup to be ready for a system commissioning.
VRF Service Training
This AIRSTAGE VRF Service Training empowers contractors to successfully service AIRSTAGE VRF systems. This course is composed of three 4-hour training sessions. Sessions include:
- Session 1 - VRF How It Works, What It Does, Symptom Diagnosis
- Session 2 - System Components, Operation Communications Issues
- Session 3 – Hands on Mechanical Troubleshooting and Diagnosis
VRF Technician Course
The AIRSTAGE VRF Technicians Training Course is designed to provide a Technician what they need to knowledgably progress through a complete Fujitsu VRF installation, setup, startup, and to establish extended warranty. This incudes J-Series, V-Series and Heat recovery equipment. It also provides detailed information with hands-on labs on each day on system components, system operation, Service Tool Software, troubleshooting, and the Design Simulator software. (3 day facility training course including all 4 of the above trainings with hands-on labs)
Service Tool and Commissioning
This 2-hour training will provide a look into navigating service tool, where attendees will connect service tool to live equipment and look at key points to start, monitor or service the system. The course also includes an overview of the required commissioning documents for the extended warranty.
Application and Design Simulator
This 2-hour training will provide ease with selecting the proper equipment for the space, along with an in-depth look at using and creating a job with design simulator. Each attendee will have to create an actual design to qualify.
